To paraphrase the well-known saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” the same applies to a popular concept: if it’s still popular, don’t stop making it. The RCT is still a popular and cherished RUF model, and therefore we are still building it. The charm of the air-cooled, single turbo flat-six that behaves in a similar way to a big displacement normally aspirated engine, continues to beguile Ruf enthusiasts the world over. It’s this traditional simplicity, as well as the summation of a host of small details that might normally be overlooked, that make the RCT such an attractive proposition to sports car buffs.
